RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - We begin this Restaurant Report by going to the Bank at 1005 East Main Street in Richmond.

When we arrived, we asked for a manger. "We're going to be including this June 20 inspection you guys had in our upcoming report, so I'm here to see if you guys wanted to talk to us about how you're handling some of these issues?" we asked, showing the manager the report.

The Bank had 7 critical violations. The report says a sink in the server station was in disrepair and had a container of liquid below it that was covered in fruit flies. When the Bank was re-inspected the following week, it had 6 critical violations. The inspector noted the fruit flies were gone, but that sink was still not fixed.

The manager asked us to come back tomorrow at 10 a.m. But when we returned, the restaurant doors were locked. We left a couple of voicemails, but haven't heard back.

In Henrico, Portabella's Ristorante at 2627 New Market Road had 4 critical violations. The inspector wrote that the slicer was soiled. Portabella's had 2 critical on a follow-up inspection, but earned a perfect score the next time. We contacted the restaurant but did not receive comment.

This week's NBC12 Hall of Fame Award goes to Kentucky Fried Chicken at 10151 Hull Street Road in Midlothian. This KFC has been serving up perfect inspection scores and hasn't had a critical violation since 2007!
