Concert organizers react to heat advisory

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - This is the first time this year a heat advisory has been issued and that means you need to use caution.

It looks like Tuesday is really going to be a sharp turn compared to the weather we've been having.

So far this summer, we haven't hit 100 degrees yet and it could feel like 105 degrees Tuesday with that heat and humidity combo.

For those planning on attending the Innsbrook After Hour Concert Tuesday night, organizers have made a change.

Due to the excessive heat predicted for Tuesday's show, three sealed, 24 oz. water bottles will be allowed into the venue.

Usually it's two, so they must know it's going to be extra hot.

And staying hydrated really is key on a day like this, and you should start drinking water as soon as you get up this morning to help avoid any heat related illnesses.

And make sure not to forget to give your pets plenty of water as well.
