RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Investigators are at the scene of an early morning house fire in Richmond.
The fire started just before 5 a.m. in the 2400 block of Wood Street in the city's East End.
When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.
We've learned an 87-year-old man, who is also blind, lived in the home. He was not inside at the time. It took crews about 45 minutes to put the fire out.
One problem for firefighters was the heat, but we're told there were no injuries.
