Suspect in deadly Chesterfield stabbing denied bond

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Bond was denied today for the suspect in a deadly stabbing in Chesterfield County.

Police took Felix Carrillo Fuentes, 23, to jail Sunday night after he was released from the hospital.  He had been recovering from a self-inflicted wound at VCU Medical Center since Wednesday.

He's charged with first degree murder and malicious wounding.

Police say a violent family fight turned into a stabbing last week at Cimarron Court off of Midlothian Turnpike.

Edwin Solorzano, 35, was killed and Fuentes' live-in girlfriend was hurt.
