Kimberly Curth - NBC12 - Richmond, VA News

Kimberly Curth

Kimberly Curth couldn't be more excited to be reporting for Middle Tennessee's No. 1 news station, WSMV.  She will be the first to tell you she has the best job in the world, and she feels honored to be able to tell the stories of those living here in the Nashville area.

Kimberly was assigned to the I-Team in July 2012.

Kimberly won an Emmy award in 2014 for her I-Team work on a series about "Channel 4 I-Team reports lead to criminal charges."

Before arriving in Music City in July 2011, Kimberly was named "Best Reporter" in the State of Alabama by The Associated Press twice for her work, in 2007 and in 2004. She worked as an anchor and reporter for WKRG-News 5 in the Mobile, AL, Pensacola, FL, and Biloxi, MS, television market.

During her time in Mobile, Kimberly reported from the front lines as hurricane after hurricane impacted the Gulf Coast, including Hurricane Katrina. She reported live for numerous national and international media outlets during those storms including CNN and The Weather Channel.

Kimberly not only reported on the aftermath of Katrina, she also reported for years on the slow recovery. During that painful process, she learned how resilient the Gulf Coast is; and, she was proud to be a member of such a strong community that stuck together when times were tough.

Kimberly arrived in Mobile in 2002, from WTXL in Tallahassee, FL, where she worked as a reporter and anchor. While in the Florida capitol, she covered the Florida recount vote for the 2000 Presidential election.

Kimberly got her start in journalism at the University of Georgia where she majored in Broadcast News.

When she's not out in the field chasing down the big story, you can find her exploring all things Nashville!

She also enjoys training for charity road races and she's even been known to do a triathlon or two.

After all that working out, you'll probably spot Kimberly enjoying all the incredible restaurants here, finding new venues to check out live music, and running with her furry baby "Herschel," her rescue puppy who loves Music City too!

If you have a story idea, feel free to send Kimberly an email at Kimberly.Curth@wsmv.com or give her a call at 615-972-7723.
