RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Fire units responded to a gas leak in the Main Street block between 12th and 13th streets in downtown Richmond.
Crews were working in the alley between Cary and Main streets Wednesday morning when a 2-inch gas main was cut.
At about 9:45 a.m., Richmond Fire was called in. Four city blocks were evacuated. As of 10:30 a.m., the gas line was contained and people were allowed back into the buildings.
No businesses went without service, according to DPU.
