CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A Chesterfield family is outraged, after a man who test drove their car for sale never came back.
The car was last seen leaving the home in the 3800 block of Greenwood Drive, right near Ettrick Elementary School in south Chesterfield.
According to the owner, there was a brand new laptop, a digital camera, several fishing poles, and child's car seat inside when it got stolen.
A white 1993 Infiniti J-30, Johnson says the car had a for sale sign on the window and it caught the eyes of two guys driving by.
"He rode pass and stopped and asked me what I wanted for it, I said $1500 or best offer," said Johnson.
Johnson said the man wanted to take his car for a test drive, he said ok, so the man got in his car and then took off.
Johnson waited here at the end of his driveway for nearly 30 minutes before he realized his car wasn't coming back that's when he called the cops.
The second guy drove off in the car they came in.
"Yeah I'm pretty upset," Johnson said.
The man who took off with the car said his name was "James.
