New contract, raises expected for Henrico school leaders

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) – Henrico's school superintendent is about to have his contract terminated. However, it's only to clear the way for a new four-year deal.

At Thursday's school board meeting, the board is expected to sign Dr. Patrick Russo through the 2015 school year.

Russo currently earns more than $240,000 a year in salary plus benefits.

Also at Thursday's meeting, school board members will vote on their own $427 raise.

It would be the board's first raise since 2008. Board members currently earn $18,000 per year.
