Richmond teen will serve 20 years for robbery and malicious wounding

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond teen pled guilty Monday morning to robbing three men and even shooting one of them while they were high above the ground in a cherry picker.

Marcellus Walters, 19, pled guilty to aggravated malicious wounding, robbery and attempted robbery  and he will spend the next 20 years in prison.

Walters robbed the men while they were painting a building in Richmond's Hillside Court last June.  The man he shot was hit in the lower stomach.  He suffered a permanent injury and still needs a hip replacement.

When Walters gets out of prison, he will be on supervised probation.
