HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - The trial for a mother accused of branding her twin daughters with a hot iron is expected to be continued Tuesday.
Berneatha Terrell obtained new counsel Monday and they are expected to ask for a continuance.
Terrell was charged with two counts of malicious wounding.
Police said she used the iron as a form of punishment if the girls misbehaved.
The girls have been staying with close family members since their mother was charged. Terrell is free on bond.
