Heat stroke

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - According Dr. Rebecca Muminovic, heat stroke becomes a serious problem.

Heat stroke is a deadly event that occurs once your body has exhausted all its attempts to cool itself.

Be aware of your body, if you start to feel agitated, confused, have a rapid heart beat/pulse, stop sweating, or experience muscle cramping and a very high body temperature you are having a heat stroke.

Call 911 immediately and get the person into a cool location. Try to cool them as best you can with fans or ice packs under the armpits while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
