RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Dozens of people gathered at the Virginia War Memorial last year, many of them family members of those with names etched onto the wall.
They will gather again on this Memorial Day to honor the names of those Virginians who lost their lives in wars from World War II to the Persian Gulf War.
The event starts at 10 a.m. Monday and lasts for about an hour.
The Virginia War Memorial is located on the 600 block of Belvidere Street, near the Lee Bridge.
There is one empty wall — that is where the names of Virginians who lost their lives in the War on Terror will go.
