RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Violations include dirty knives and cold tables not keeping foods cold enough in this week's Restaurant Report.

We start in Henrico at the Waffle House at 5414 Williamsburg Road with 5 critical violations, including that the sandwich unit had elevated temperatures. Steaks, ham, pickles and mushrooms were too warm. All violations were corrected for a perfect score on a follow-up inspection 3 weeks later.

Also in Henrico, Bogart's at 443 North Ridge Road had 5 critical violations. The report says soiled knives were on the wall rack. The restaurant had 3 critical violations on a follow-up inspection, then had problems two more times with a cold table not keeping foods cold enough. Violations were corrected. The restaurant declined to comment for our report.

Then in Chesterfield, Ledo Pizza at 7052 Commons Plaza had 4 critical violations. There, knives, a knife rack, and some cutting boards were soiled. Violations were corrected during the inspection and the restaurant had no criticals on a follow-up. We received no comment from the restaurant.

Talk about clean, this week's NBC12 Hall of Fame Award goes to Rio Lindo Restaurant, which has been earning perfect scores for years, and only had one critical violation since 2007. While they serve up Salvadoran and Mexican food and live music, owner Juan Tardio wants you to feel at home.

"We want to be in the restaurant like in our home, clean, neat, everything set," said Tardio.

A new Texas Roadhouse opens at 1570 West Koger Center Boulevard in Chesterfield on Monday, June 6. Before then, they're donating food to local fire, EMS and police, and they're hosting a benefit June 3 and 4 for the Make A Wish Foundation. You must call 897-7427 to attend the benefit.
