Transfer from "The U" coming to Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A big, shiny, new weapon is coming to the University of Richmond offense for this upcoming season. 

Head football coach Latrell Scott has announced that University of Miami TE Andrew Tallman has signed a grant-in-aid and will enroll at the University of Richmond for the Fall 2011 semester.  Tallman is immediately eligible with four years to play for the Spiders.

Tallman a native of Carthage, NY, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 260 pounds, redshirted as a true freshman this past season for the Hurricanes.

Tallman was a three-star recruit who was ranked as the No. 5 prospect at his position in New York State by Rivals.com.  He was also a three-star prospect and No. 56 recruit at his position nationally by Scout.com.

Tallman joins a tight end group at Richmond that also includes junior Kevin Finney, sophomore Sam Roller and freshmen Hunter Westfall and Christian Conklin.
