RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Of the six people arrested during the VCU Final Four riots, five of them were back in court today.
Charges were dropped for the five suspects that were in court Thursday.
This trial was on disorderly conduct charges against the suspects. Some of the suspects claimed they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The five who appeared in court today were Dylan Dawson, 19; James Maitland, 20; Thomas Paxman, 21; Lauren Richeson, 24; and Joel Torreyson, 21. Each was arrested on a single count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
The sixth person arrested, Andrew Kotsch, 22, is scheduled to appear in court Friday. He is the only of the six arrested who is a student at VCU. The charges are expected to be dropped for him as well.
