New Kent, VA (WWBT) - The pilot of a small plane walks away with only minor injuries after engine trouble forces a crash landing.
The crash happened around 12:30 Sunday afternoon in the 9000 block Rockahock Bar Rd. several miles northeast of the New Kent County airport.
State Police say the two seat, fixed wing aircraft had an engine malfunction.
The pilot suffered only minor injuries after a rough landing into an empty field.
Police say the aircraft was en route to Gloucester from the Saint Stephens Church area.
State Police and the FAA continue to investigate the crash.
