City Council approves two studies on stadium

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond City Council approved not one but two studies to review the future of City Stadium.

The Times Dispatch reports council approved Marty Jewell's proposal to seek options on how the property could be used as a stadium.

Another study will look into the best use of the property, as well as GRTC property on South Davis Avenue.

VCU and developer, Fulton Hill partnership have expressed interest in the area.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
