3 men charged in Louisa in internet sex sting

LOUISA, VA - Today, Louisa County Commonwealth's Attorney Tom Garrett announced that General District Court Judge Deborah Tinsley certified three sexual solicitation of a minor cases to the grand jury meeting on July 11, 2011 against Christopher Anderson, 22, of Charlottesville, Adam Toghill, 32, of Richmond and David Meredith, 25, of Chesterfield.

A Louisa grand jury indicted Shakir A. Moore, 24, of Richmond yesterday for the same offense and he is next scheduled in court on June 3, 2011.

On speaking on the Operation Garrett said "we take protecting children very serious.  The efforts of the Louisa County Sheriff's Office working under the leadership of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes against Children are protecting children across the Commonwealth.  This operation was a first of its kind in the area and numerous jurisdictions collaborated to protect children.  This is the type of teamwork should make the citizens of the region proud."

Each of the men is charged with violating Virginia Code Section 18.2-374.3 and faces a mandatory minimum five year sentences
