RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - In this Restaurant Report, two restaurants received critical violations for having dirty knives where the clean knives are supposed to be kept.

The first was Casa Grande, 3532 Pump Road in Henrico, which had 8 critical violations. The report says some knives stored on the magnetic strip were dirty and some salsa containers still had food residue in them after being cleaned. These and other violations were corrected during the inspection. We contacted Casa Grande but did not hear back.

The other restaurant with dirty knives stored as clean was Eat Rice Chinese Restaurant at 6104 Jahnke Road in Richmond, which had 4 total critical violations. These were also corrected on the spot. The manager declined to comment for our report. Eat Rice had a perfect score on their previous inspection.

And Kabuto at 13158 Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield also had a problem with some dirty items. They had four critical violations, including that pots, pans, an ice machine, and some utensils were soiled to sight and touch. The restaurant had two critical violations on a follow up inspection two weeks later. The manager declined to talk on camera, but tells us all violations have since been corrected.

"This is what you see! This is what you get!" said this week's NBC12 Hall of Fame Award winner, Yvette Gerissom at Jill's café.

You won't find any dirty items at Jill's Cafe, inside an office building at 9030 Stony Point Parkway in Richmond, which has earned perfect scores on the last four out of five inspections.

"I pretty much clean as I go. You don't want your kitchen looking yucky. You're serving food," said Gerissom.

Jill's Café is a one woman show. Gerissom has accomplished those perfect scores all by herself.
