RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Tracy Burke, owner of 'New York Bride and Groom' knows how to make a bride feel like a million bucks, without busting her wedding budget.
"2011 brings us a savvy internet bride that has more information than people I could hire off the street!," she said.
Bari Lanning is that kind of modern bride. She's used the internet as a great resource for her wedding and honeymoon.
"We're going on a seven day cruise of the western Caribbean, so it should be fun. We're excited!" Bari said.
Bari and her fiancé, have all the dishes they need...so they've registered for their honeymoon instead at honeymoonwishes.com.
"We have the towels, we have all that stuff....and this way we can have fun on our honeymoon and not worry about the cost," she said.
It's very much like your typical wedding registry. You list the things you would like to get, Bari's hoping they can swim with dolphins, there's even a place to contribute to the airfare. Couples can set up suggested gift amounts.
"Instead of buying us an appliance you can get us a massage or a nice dinner...of some champagne at dinner," Bari said. "Right here it says recent registry activity and right now we have a total of three hundred and thirty five dollars in gifts."
That much already and their wedding invitation went out just last week!
