Chesterfield planning commission to consider options

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Chesterfield county planning commission is scheduled to vote on a zoning request that will allow crews to start working on the next phase of the SportsQuest facility.

The east campus is already open, now the facility is seeking approval to move forward with it's west campus.

According to the Richmond Times Dispatch, the planning commission reviewed the request last month but delayed the decision which considers a number of options.

The Chesterfield Observer is reporting that the planning department is expected to approve the plan with 10 conditions, one of those being the construction of sidewalks along the westbound lanes of Genito between Watercove and Genito Place.

In addition to the sidewalks, it's likely SportsQuest will provide shuttle buses between campuses.
