Police impersonation case won on appeal

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Charges have been dismissed against a Henrico man accused of impersonating a police officer.

William Crawford was arrested last June after police say he pulled out a badge and confronted a driver who was following his vehicle too closely.

But Crawford's lawyer argued that he is a special conservator of the peace and that was what his badge said.

The charge was dropped.
