East end man arrested for writing bad checks

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico police have arrested a Richmond man and charged him with 12 counts of larceny after he allegedly wrote bad checks over a period of a few months.

Since January, Aric A. Coleman, 25, of the 1900 block of Brandonview Road, opened checking accounts at various credit unions in the area, according to police.  He then wrote several worthless checks to himself and deposited them into different credit unions.

Coleman would then withdraw the funds before the credit unions discovered the checks were worthless, police said.
