RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Virginia couple accused of neglecting nearly three dozen horses has been indicted on animal cruelty charges.
This case is unfolding in King and Queen County.
Robert Amos and Elizabeth Newsome-Amos each face twenty counts.
A rescue league took custody of the animals. Authorities say some of the horses have since died.
Others have been adopted or are now in foster care.
