Richmond public school enrollment up

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Enrollment at Richmond public schools is up for the first time in 13 years.

According to the Times-Dispatch, the fall enrollment climbed to more than 23,000 students in 2010. The Virginia Department of Education says that's about 460 more students, compared to the 2009 figure.

Public school enrollments in Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico all saw declines compared to Richmond.
