Passport Fairs this Saturday canceled

Press release from the U.S. Postal Service Communications Coordinator

RICHMOND, VA - The Department of State has informed us that though they value the services the Postal Service provides to our mutual customers, we will not be allowed to accept passport applications in the event of a government shutdown.

We want to make sure our customers are not inconvenienced, so due to the potential shutdown of government at midnight, April 8, we are canceling our Passport Day in the USA event scheduled for April 9.

We will resume our regular Passport Fairs and passport application acceptance in the future.

Customers with scheduled appointments for passport application acceptance will be notified.

NOTE: The fairs were scheduled for Richmond, Chesterfield and Petersburg, but are canceled.
