House fire investigation wraps up in Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Fire investigators say they may never know exactly what caused an abandoned house fire in South Richmond.

The fire broke out about 3:45 this morning along Semmes Avenue near Forest Hill.  Traffic was detoured for more than four hours leading up to and during morning rush hour.

Investigators learned that the home is known to be a frequent spot for homeless people to seek shelter in, so they feel like that's a factor here, but they won't know for sure unless someone comes forward.
