RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - As we cap off this first week of spring, we're getting a visit from old man winter.
Precipitation was light and spotty through the overnight and morning; a few areas saw sleet, snow mix.
Morning temperatures were at or above freezing for much of region and are expected to rise to the upper 30s or low 40s by Sunday afternoon.
The wintry mix will transition to drizzle by mid-morning and by midday, skies will be slowly clearing.
Much of this afternoon will probably be partly sunny with mostly sunny skies by evening.
Temperatures dip into the upper 20s Sunday night.
Morning clouds on Monday will give way to some partial sunshine with highs in the upper 40s.
A quick shower is possible Monday, mainly south of Richmond.
It's a chilly week ahead.
Rain looks likely again Wednesday and Friday.
