RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A University of Richmond student guilty of creating a drug lab at Georgetown University, finds out his sentence today.

Police say John Perrone, who was a freshman at U of R,  and Charles Smith, a freshman at Georgetown, were making DMT.

Last month, the two students pled guilty to producing the rare hallucinogenic drug.

Police searched Perrone's dorm room at U of R, but found nothing.

Lawyers for the students expect the two men will avoid a six month jail sentence and instead do community service.
