RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Since 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, the Division of Motor Vehicles has been experiencing some intermittent issues with drivers license transactions today, according to spokesperson Melanie Stokes.
As of 3 p.m., Stokes said the problem had been corrected. It was believed to be a problem with the server that contains the drivers license database.
Some DMV customers have been turned away. If turned away, they get a return letter that will expedite them through the process next time.
This problem was only affecting driver license transactions. All other services were okay, Stokes said.
