Suspect indicted by Virginia grand jury

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Loudoun County, Virginia grand jury indicted the alleged East coast rapist, on three felony charges this week.

Aaron Thomas is accused in a 2001 attack in Leesburg.

According to the Times Dispatch, the grand jury indicted Thomas yesterday on charges of rape, abduction and forcible sodomy.

Investigators say DNA links Thomas to at least 17 rapes and other attacks in states along the East coast.

Thomas was arrested in Connecticut and may stand trial there before being extradited to Virginia.
