Catholic Diocese considers buying school

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - We're learning new information this morning about the future of Benedictine High School in Richmond.

The Times Dispatch reports this morning that the Catholic Diocese may try to buy the high school before the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts does, but there's another twist.

The paper says while the bishop is interested in the proposal, there is no plan to stop Benedictine from moving to a Goochland campus.

The high school is run independently, but the bishop has final authority of any matter involving the Catholic Church of Richmond.
