RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - School leaders are trying to get the Patrick Henry School building up and running for its students in Richmond's Southside. While there's a lot of work to be done at the permanent site, classes are currently being held in a temporary school.
But that could change by the start of next school year.
Tonight, Patrick Henry is looking to add more students. This is the second year in a row the charter school is holding this lottery. The lottery this evening will be held at the site of the temporary school, which is located at 611 West 31st Street at 6:30 p.m.
But there are only spots open for students heading into the first, second and fourth grade.
At last check, leaders at the Patrick Henry School are hoping to have this building open for class by the fall of this year.
