Hanover's budget grows; employees to get raises

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - Hanover County's budget is getting bigger for the first time in three years and county employees are set to get a raise.

An improving economy has led to an increase in sales tax revenues that will pay for the proposed two percent increase in pay for teachers and county employees.

The board of supervisors will get its first look at the budget tonight and a public hearing is set for next month.  A final budget could be approved in April.
