RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Friends and family will meet in Church Hill Wednesday night to remember a young woman killed one week ago outside a Popeye's restaurant in Richmond's northside.
For a week now, those who knew 26-year-old Barbara Stinnett - and even those who didn't - have been asking for prayers after Stinnett was gunned down during an attempted robbery at a Popeye's restaurant.
Now some of those people will gather in Church Hill for a vigil, to remember the young woman.
Surveillance video shows Stinnett at work a week ago at a convenience store in Richmond.
Not too long after leaving work, Stinnett was found, gunned down in a car outside the Popeye's restaurant on Chamberlayne Avenue.
Police have arrested 18-year-old Kevin Scott and another underage female in connection with the murder.
The vigil will start at 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon on the 500 block of N 26th Street in Church Hill where Barbara lived.
A second person was also shot outside the restaurant. At last check, he was expected to survive.
