RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The accused Appomattox killer could be coming to Henrico.
The Lynchburg News and Advance is reporting that Christopher Speight's attorneys, who are based here in Richmond, argued to a judge this week that the move would save taxpayers at least a $100,000 in travel expenses.
And they've apparently gotten the green light from Henrico's sheriff to jail Speight here. The judge says it's okay with him, if safe transportation can be arranged.
Speight is accused of killing eight people last year.
