3-acre brush fire burning behind Forest Hill Target

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Firefighters are battling a brush fire with the winds fueling the flames. It started at about 10:30 a.m. in a wooded area behind the Target on Forest Hill in the Stratford Hills neighborhood of South Richmond.

Water tanks had to be brought in because of where the fire is burning.  It took crews 30 minutes to gain control of the 3-acre blaze.

They said the flames were never a danger to businesses.

This fire happened right in the middle of a red flag warning...and from the pictures...you can see the wind is creating a high fire danger.
