Police identify suspect in overnight shooting

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Investigators have identified a suspect accused of shooting two women overnight in Mosby Court.

Police say 28-year-old Justin H. Belnavis shot two women during an argument in the 2000 block of Accommodation Street just before 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Both were taken to the hospital; one has life threatening injuries, the other is expected to survive.

Police say Belnavis also goes by the names: King Jus, Jay, K or Keith.

Investigators also believe this was not a random act of violence.

Anyone with information that could help police locate Belnavis is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. You can also text a tip to police at 274637 using the keyword "iTip" followed by the information.
