RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Mothers who use breast pumps and other supplies to feed their babies can deduct the cost from their taxes.
The IRS reversed its own position Thursday to now allow the items to be deductible as medical expenses.
That means families can use pre-tax funds from flexible spending accounts and health savings to pay for pumps.
The pumps and supplies can run as high as $1,000 in the first year of an infant's life.
