RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - VUU's worst loss of the season came at St. Paul's. They got some revenge for that on Thursday. The Panthers beat St. Paul's 81-68 at Barco-Stevens Hall.
Hermitage product Gregory Redford returned to the line-up for the first time in over a month and scored 14 points in the win. Teammate Brandon McDonald also scored 12 points while Justin Ramsey grabbed eight rebounds for the Panthers.
Saint Paul's was led by Kendrick Williams and Ramel Belfield, who scored 14 points apiece. Saint Paul's Ibn Rassoull, from Petersburg, had 10 rebounds in the game.
The win raised VUU's record to 11-7 overall and 9-4 in CIAA play. Saint Paul's dropped to 7-13 overall and 4-10 in the CIAA.
Virginia Union will now face Chowan University on February 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Barco-Stevens Hall.
