RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - New details on the driver that led police on a brief chase overnight in Richmond.

Investigators are questioning the man they say drove the wrong way downtown and didn't stop for officers.

Police noticed the man driving the wrong way on Third Street around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.

When they tried to stop him because of possible safety problems, they say he wouldn't pull over.

That's when a chase started.

Police say the man then crashed his car at Second and Canal - he then ran off but was caught.

Police haven't given us the man's name, but we do know he's 20-years-old.

Investigators don't believe alcohol was involved.
