Man wanted after two shot, one killed in Greensville

GREENSVILLE, VA (WWBT) - Greensville County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from 5719 Dry Bread Road around 1050pm on January 30, 2011.  The caller stated that two people had been shot.

Upon the deputies arrival, they found two gun shot victims.  One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased was identified as Mary Jean Phillips of Emporia.  The other victim is hospitalized in critical condition.

The Greensville County Sheriff's Office has obtain warrants for Rodney Joel Zimmerman of 5719 Dry Bread Road for Murder, Attempted Murder and two counts of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felon.  He is listed at this time as a fugitive from justice.

The suspect may be driving a 2003 Ford Ranger Pickup with a step side and blue in color.  It has the following tag registered to it:  JBR-3288.
