Study begins on chemicals in James River

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Virginia is kicking off a new study this week to try and detect toxic chemicals in the James River.

Researchers will focus their work on the James, between the Mayo Bridge in Richmond all the way to the Charles City County area.

There will be two public meetings on this study.

The first one takes place Tuesday in Richmond.
