HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - A Hanover County man arrested for abusing a 10-month-old baby is still in jail despite a judge's ruling to grant a request for a $30,000 bond.

Russell Talley, 31, faces felony charges of child abuse and malicious injury after a friend's child suffered a severe head injury.  The baby's mother says the child was injured so badly, it is paralyzed on the left side of its body.

Talley is set to be back in court next month.
