RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Governor McDonnell may have increasing support from Democrats for his transportation funding plan.
The Times-Dispatch reports five Democrats in the state senate have agreed to support McDonnell's plan to use almost $3 billion in bonds to fund the nearly $4 billion transportation plan.
The paper also reveals the Democratic chairman of the senate finance committee is also supporting the plan.
Critics have questioned the governor's amount of borrowing to fund transportation.
