Goddard hopeful for Oscar nod for "Living for 32"

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - We'll find out Tuesday if a Virginia Tech victim's documentary gets an Oscar nod.

Colin Goddard's film "Living for 32"  chronicles Goddard's life after the April 16, 2007, campus shooting and his mission to raise awareness about gun control.

The film is generating Oscar buzz.

Nominations for the Academy Awards will be announced Tuesday.

On Saturday, "Living for 32" was shown at the Sundance Film Festival.

The festival is known for spotlighting independent films and documentaries.
