Man arrested in Henrico for child abandonment

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - On Sunday morning at approximately 2:45 a.m., Henrico County officers responded to the 1100 block of Lee's Crossing Court for a suspicious situation. 

It was discovered that two children, ages 8 and 4, were left alone.  The father, David M. Morcom, 27, left the residence in search of his fiance.  Morcom was located in Hanover intoxicated and charged with two counts of child abandonment. 

The children were placed with their aunt following the Morcom's arrest. Child Protective Services was notified.
