LOUISA, VA (WWBT) - A former school bus driver from Canada is sitting in a Virginia jail cell accused of soliciting sex from a teen.

Detectives say Alan Sauve, 47, from Windsor, Ontario, was charged in Louisa court with 22 felony counts of soliciting a child over the internet for sex.

Detectives say Sauve was talking to a real 14-year-old girl until they intervened with an undercover sting.

"When he started to solicit her for sex that's when he really crossed the line," said Major Donald Lowe.

Ten months of online banter between detectives and Sauve, he wanted to take it to the next level and meet in person.

But Sauve was arrested as soon as he crossed the border into Detroit, Michigan. Detectives were waiting for him there -- that's where Suave thought he arranged to see the girl.

"If a person gets into a vehicle to molest a child we're going to get them," said Lowe.

Well, Sauve finally did make it Virginia; he was extradited and is being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail without bond.

Sauve says he's innocent and pleaded "not guilty" in court. He's jury trial is set for June.
