Police investigate shooting at Chesterfield restaurant

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Chesterfield police are investigating a fight at a restaurant that led to gunfire. It happened Wednesday evening at the Southern Star, located in the 16800 block of Jeff-Davis Highway.

At about 6 p.m., police responded to a call from the restaurant in reference to a possible fight in the parking lot.  Upon arrival, officers discovered three men with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Two of the men were transported to local hospitals for treatment, while a third victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.  The three people were injured in a fight. One of the hospitalized victims has been released.

No arrests have been made.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
