RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - At noon, on Friday family and friends will say their final goodbyes to an 11-year-old Richmond girl who died on New Year's Eve from an accidental hanging.

Questions still remain about 11-year-old Tyra Garrison's death. The fifth grader was a student at Clarks Spring Elementary.

The Medical Examiner's Office ruled her death accidental but police continue to investigate.

Earlier this week, more than 100 people came out in Gilpin Court to offer words of comfort and support for Tyra's mother.  Several homemade cards and plenty of hugs were had at that memorial.

Friday's funeral for Tyra will start at noon at Greater Mount Moriah Baptist Church -- that's in the 900 block of North First Street in Richmond.
